General Canyon Information

First, to claify, we are the gift shop and restaurant at the top of Jasper's Maligne Canyon. We are not a tour company; the canyon can be enjoyed on a self-guided tour.

When we're open:

We are open from April 1st until October 31st seasonal.
Spring and Fall hours: 9 am until 6 pm
Summer hours: June until end of August 8 am until 8 pm

Someone have a bithday coming up? Retiring soon? Anniversary? Does your business group need a break-away session?
We specialize in the services that group events need and can do them for you at any time of the year.

Tours for Canyon walks.

You can also take the self-guided tour.

About the Self-Guided Tour

There are no fees for the self guided tour of the Canyon.
It is open year round.
There are 6 bridges to the tour.
Hiking timing approximately 1 hour one way.
The walk using the 1st and 2nd bridges is the most frequently hike: round trip time of 15 min.
The walk is not handi-cap equipped (though our facility certainly is).
Footwear is something to consider; much of the walk is on rather smooth rock that, in summer, wet or dry, can be a little slippery. In winter it is slippery.
Ice walks in the winter are spectacular – but we are not open then. For ice tours contact the guiding companies in the paragraph above can help you explore the canyon in it's ice-covered splendor.
